Kevin’s Teaching Corner It is time to get back to golf! March 29th is the opening day for our golf season. This gives us the opportunity to get back into the swing of things and do that in the best way possible with some golf instruction.
I am pleased to announce that I have partnered up with V1 golf. This means I don't need the studio to break down and analyse swings. It allows me to do everything outside (COVID safe), while I voice over swings and send them to you as we are doing the lesson. This means more feedback for you and full capabilities for me. I also have a website that you can visit. There you can book times and see my availability. This makes booking or changing a planned session as easy as a few clicks. You can see how many sessions you have left and can purchase lesson packages or vouchers with ease. Once you are set up, it will be an easy process to more rewarding golf.

I am excited to be getting back out there and working with anyone looking for improvement or more enjoyment from the game of golf. Please register online to have full access to my diary. Even if you are not committed to lessons now, it will help notify you of upcoming promotions, camps, clinics, and events. Look out for these upcoming clinics: (with more to come) - Short Game Master Class
- The Importance of Putting
- How to Hit it Longer
- Understanding Ball Flight
- Ladies – Overview of Game
I hope that everyone is doing well despite these hard times. I hope golf cand be an outlet to have fun and joy in your life. I look forward to seeing you all soon.
Tip of the Week This week’s tip is about how to mentally prepare for your round. This is fitting considering we have plenty of time to get ready for that first round of golf. We all want it to be the best round of golf possible and it will inevitably set the tone for our whole season. Here are some tips to get you started: Prepare the day before. Anticipate the course conditions and dress appropriately. You should have your clubs, shoes, and whatever else you might need or have to do done before you get to the course. (i.e. mark your golf balls, etc.) Get to the course with enough time to stretch, warm up with some shots at the range or the hitting net and be sure to roll some putts. The biggest part of this is getting the speed of the greens. They vary every day and putting will account for a large portion of your strokes on the course. When you get out there to play, try to stay in a positive frame of mind. Focus on the good, not the bad. Bad swings happen, however putting a positive spin on it will keep you in the game mentally and save you from spiralling into a very bad hole or round. These are just a few tips to hopefully get your season started off in the best direction possible. Everyone is in the same boat, not having played or even hit balls, if you need help on any aspect of your game, even the mental side, be sure to reach out to your PGA Professionals for help.
